I am currently the CEO of The Marco Polo Project, a digital community reading and translating new writing from China. From June 2012 to February 2013, I contributed the 1510 digest column to Danwei.com, bringing together articles from the Chinese web on a range of social topics, and I contributed research to the Thinking China project, published on ANU’s ‘The China Story‘ blog. In 2014, I will organise the Marco Polo Festival of Digital Literature, an innovative festival exploring how the shift from print to digital affected the way we read and write in Australia and China.

In April -May 2011, I was part of the Vic-Asia-Unit project team – an initiative to grow Asian literacy in Victoria, and coordinate government activities in that sphere. Our project won the popular vote for the 2011 Victorian Public Service Innovation Challenge. As a result, in 2012, I was invited to attend the Asialink Leaders Program, a unique opportunity to better understand the relationships between Australia and Asia.
